This summer just keeps getting better and better for us online poker players – now,
Pokerstars have just announced are the dates for this years’ WCOOP – billed as the biggest online poker tournament series in the World.
The prize pool has doubled since last year and is a massive $30,000,000 and that’s Guaranteed. This series has certainly gone from strength to strength from it’s beginnings in 2002, the WCOOP Roll of Honour is below, just look at those winnings grow!

This is no ordinary Poker Tournament this is the richest and most popular Poker Tournament in Europe – The European Poker Tour (EPT). Last year's Season 4 boasted a total prize pool of €38.2 million with the final in Monte Carlo having a prize pool of €8.4 million. This year we’re onto Season 5 and the EPT promises even bigger prizepools up for grabs.

Rumours that this change has been on the cards have been circulating since WSOP 07, but only today at a Media Conference at 4pm UK (11am New York) will the rumour be confirmed (or not) as truth. Basically, instead of the final table being played there and then in Vegas in July the action will be put on hold until Nov 9th when the final nine will sit around the final table - the remaining two will go heads up on 10th November for the title. ESPN will broadcast the action on 11th November with the winner receiving the title and being crowned live on TV that night.

Titan Poker are sending both Jason Hussack 'jayiggs' from Canada and Charles Michelleti from France to the Genting Stanley Poker Championships in the UK this March 26th to 30th.
The prize packages won by these players include buy-ins to the Main Event and Freezeout Tournament, 5 nights in a luxury hotel and approx $1,100 spending money. Each Casino (players get a choice of three events) is offering guaranteed prize pools of £50,000 (approx $100,000).
Another Titan player to watch is Kenneth Tomming from Denmark who has won two prize packages and is representing Titan Poker at both the EPT San Remo in April and the ECPT Madrid open in May.
