Cake Poker are proud to be the earlybirds in inviting their players to the Crown Casino in Melbourne, Australia, January 12th to 30th, for the Aussie Millions 2012. The Aussie Millions attracts a huge international field of players, including the good and the great, and is reputed to be the friendliest poker event - it certainly is a very rich one! This year will the event's 10th anniversary and, will be no exception to the rule, there will be an estimated AUD$20m up for grabs. On Friday 15th April 2011, in a major crackdown on online gambling, the FBI and US Attorney's Office have charged the founders of former
US Poker Sites PokerStars, Full Tilt Poker and Absolute Poker with fraud, illegal gambling and laundering a great deal of dollars! It appears that there were 11 arrested, restraining orders put on 75 bank accounts in 14 countries. Five internet domain names were also confiscated - this is a major operation!

The English Poker Open 2009 is Europe’s newest event and the inauguration takes place this coming September 15th to 17th. The first English Poker Open is to be held at Europe’s premier poker venue, Dusk Till Dawn in Nottingham, England with the buy in to the Main Event being $5,300 – but that’s not all that’s going on, there will be Side Events too. The Main Event will be capped at 270 players and there will be a prize pool of at least $1m to be shared out amongst the top players and that’s guaranteed.
