Latin American Poker Tour (LAPT) – Season 1 – The Results

PokerStars brought us the first Latin American Poker Tour (LAPT) and it was a resounding success so, it’s probably the first LAPT of many!

The Tour started in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil this May 3rd to 5th at the prestigious Intercontinental Hotel, with 314 players chasing a combined prize pool of $785,000. The buy in was $2,500 and the top 32 players ended up in the money. The top three finishers were

• 1st. Julien Nuijten from Holland won $222,940
• 2nd Vitaly Kovyazin from USA won $117,850
• 3rd Nikolai Senninger from Germany won $86,350

Next stop

San Jose, Costa Rica from May 22nd to 24th saw 398 players from 35 countries converge on the Ramada Plaza Herradura Hotel to battle for a prize pool of $965,150, buy in was $2,500 and once again it was the top 32 who took home the money. The top three were

• 1st Valdemar Kaysser from Hungary won $274,103
• 2nd Max Steinberg from USA won $144,773
• 3rd Steven Silverman from USA won $106,167

Last stop

Punta del Este, Uruguay from August 7th to 9th at the Mantra Resort Spa Casino, 352 international poker players sat down at the tables and played for a prize pool of $851,175. Once again top 32 players in the money and the top three were

• 1st Jose Miguel Espinar from Spain won $242,735
• 2nd Alex Brenes from Costa Rica won $127,675
• 3rd Lisandro Gallo from Argentina won $96,630
