Party Poker.com Women’s World Open II

The second Party Poker.com Womens World Open starts today at the 3 Mills Studio, East London. Following the success of the first tournament in August last year it was an event that just had to be repeated. The buy in to the event is $3,000, the prize pool is $108,000, with the eventual winner bagging $50,000. There are 36 competitors from all over the world.

This year Bev will be there to defend her title and she will be in the company of some celebrities, this year the field includes

  • Maud Mulder - last year’s Dutch Open Champion, Pop Singer and Television Presenter from Holland.
  • Agnieszka Rylik - Champion Boxer, Television Presenter, Member of TonyG’s Team, busted Devilfish and Joe Beevers on the last series of Late Night Poker, from Poland.
  • Lucy Porter - stand up comic well known from Have I got News for You and Never Mind the Buzzcocks.
  • Emma Kennedy - best known from Jonathon Creek, The Smoking Room
  • Natalie Dormer - best known from Casanova and, currently, The Tudors
  • Kira Jolliffe - fashion author who won a poker competition in 1997 and on the proceeds founded Cheap Date – anti fashion magazine - and wrote book of the same name.
  • Michaela Tabb – Snooker Referee.

Coverage of the Event will be televised in the UK on FIVE next year, keep your eyes peeled for when.
