PCA – PokerStars Caribbean Adventure – An Official EPT Event
October 18th, 2008 | by Admin |Brought to you by PokerStars.com the Caribbean Adventure, although far away from Europe, is an official European Poker Tour (EPT) Event. The largest live poker tournament staged outside the USA, this is one event that is well worth the effort to get into. The PCA Event will be held at the luxurious Atlantis Resort and Casino, Paradise Island, the Bahamas in the New Year, January 5th to 10th, and the weather forecast is warm and sunny – not bad for an EPT event in mid winter! The package that PokerStars have put together for you is worth a generous $14,300 and includes $10,000 buy into the Main Event, $3,000 pays for your hotel and food and there is $1,000 allowance for your travelling expenses.
There is, however, no price that can be put on the whole Team PokerStars experience, as anyone who has had the privilege to play in Team Pokerstars will testify.
In addition there is a $25,000 High Roller Event, for those of you who are in the money, and several other side events which will be taking place as well as the prestigious Main Event. This year you can buy in direct to the Main Event from your PokerStars Account – that’s $10,000.
Taking a look back to the 2008 PCA, 1,136 players – 650 qualified online with PokerStars – battled for a mammoth prize pool of $8,594,976, the PCA Champion 2008 Bertrand ‘ElkY’ Grospellier took home a handsome $2m!! Bertrand is a pro member of Team PokerStars.
