The PokerStars ever popular World Cup Poker is back for the fifth time and the live final will be held as part of the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure 2009 (PCA) in the Atlantis Resort and Casino, Paradise Island, The Bahamas January 5th to 10th 2009. The nine countries (teams) who qualify for the finals will have a fully expenses paid trip and the chance of a share in the $290,000 cash prize pool. If you make it through you’ll have to look your best and play your finest poker as you’ll representing your Country and the final will be televised!
The teams of four players will be made of two from the Country’s own leaderboard and two from the Country’s freeroll qualifiers. The freeroll route takes you through divisional play offs to National Teams and, hopefully, glory and amazing bragging rights.
The national freerolls are already running for USA, Canadian and German players and can be easily found on the site, in the lobby through Events then World Cup, identifiable by City.
The rest of the worlds’ eager poker players have to wait until November 27th for their freerolls to start. Not long now!
