RPT Russian Poker Tour in association with PokerStars
December 6th, 2008 | by Admin |
Satellites are running now at Pokerstars for the first ever Russian Poker Tour (RPT) being held early next year. The poker scene in Russia is exploding with record numbers of players taking part, both online at PokerStars and live games, making this the inaugural tour not to miss. Russian poker players are making their mark, just think of Ivan Demidov – WSOP runner up, PokerStars own pro Alex Kravchenko and you’ll be able to imagine the quality of play you can expect at this fantastic event.
The first venue is the historic city of St Petersburg starting January 25th until the 1st February. St Peterburg is the fascinating second city of Russia, formerly Leningrad until 1991, and in fact was the capital city for 200 years until after the Russian Revolution in 1918. History aside, this buzzing city will impress with it’s beauty and cosmopolitan vibe, not forgetting the tribe of pro poker players making their way to this inaugural event for the game and the glory!
Then it’s on to the capital of Russia, magnificent Moscow, February 22nd to 28th sees the action take place here. Moscow is the largest city in Europe and has many sights to be seen, take in the Kremlin and the many squares with fabulous fountains, all lit at night. Beware! Expect snow and temperatures of -3 to -9 but the action at the table will be hot!
This is going to be one hell of an experience and PokerStars.com are giving you the opportunity of getting to Russia to play poker with the good and the great via satellites starting at just $2.22 or 111 Frequent Player Points.
Satellites for RPT St Petersburg are running now until December 30th, they are easy to track down, open the PokerStars lobby, click Events then Special to access them.
